No discussion on appointing Gotabaya as PM: Ruwan

There has been no discussion on appointing former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the Prime Minister or to any other position,” UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene said yesterday.

“There is no deal between the SLPP and President with regard to Mr. Rajapaksa. Besides he is yet to decide whether he is to remain in politics or not,” Wijewardene told the media after a religious ceremony held in Colombo to mark the 76 anniversary of UNP.

At the same time UNP Deputy Leader said Mr. Rajapaksa has been allowed to come back to Sri Lanka and security has been provided following the recommendation of the National Human Rights Commission.

Meanwhile Wijewardene said UNP is currently engaged in talks with Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa on forming an all-party government.“doors are open for the Samagi Jana Balawegaya ( SJB) to team up once again with the UNP,” he said.

Wijewardene said it is essential for all parties to get together to revive the nation’s economy and relieve people from suffering. (Yohan Perera)

What a joke, the former President and all members of his family have not ONE ouch of share, not ONE ounch of honesty, integrity, self respect, share and the likes. What a come down to the entire family and extended family a utter disgrace to the human race. Instead of accepting the FACTS that they and their stoogers who aided and abetted with them are fully responsible for the present situation the Country is in, they still carry on as though they have not had a direct hand in the downfall of the country. If the present President and government does not take legal action to bring all those responsible and have a independent investigation how Sri Lanka fell into this death trap, the people of Sri Lanka will never rest without justice being served or else lock them ALL up in a tight security prison and throw the kegs into the Indian Ocean, so that they never see the light of day. I keep praying for ALL the people of my Motherland daily, have FAITH retribution will come soon. God Bless.
