‘Leader of the Jathika Jana Balwegaya Anura Kumara Dissanayake said his party was planning to mobilize the entire nation to oust the present rule and requested the people to be prepared for that campaign.
Addressing a rally in Matara on Tuesday (28) he said the entire country would grind to a halt in couple of days due to the short-sighted decisions of the failed government. He said wrong decisions taken by incompetent elders was now ruining the future of the younger generation.
He said the schools had already been closed and the functioning of the government offices crippled.
“The functioning of courts, the bus services, the transport of agricultural produce, the fisheries industry and the health services would come to a standstill soon. The government’s shortsighted economic policy has caused serious damage to the country. All services in the government have been crippled and are on the verge of total collapse. Cabinet reshuffles and transfer of officials have failed to resolve the disastrous situation. It only further aggravated the crisis” He said
He further said the entire younger generation was now on the forefront of the struggle to oust the present rulers and to change the prevailing political system, and that the Jathika Jana Balawegaya was prepared to join hands with them to lead the country regardless of political differences. I think all parties, particularly JJB and SJB, must combine their forces to oust the government. Support of trade unions and other antigovernment forces must also be pooled. If any party attempts to oust the government single handed it will fail. Leaders attempting to oust the government single handed are hypocrites.

May e he is just talking, but he never stands beside the students when they are facing the nazi police and STF in Colombo. H e runs away to Kurunegala, Anuradhapura or Panadura that are insignifcant places that rotten police ignores. Come to Colombo with your big mouth and people, and show you man what you talk. Show your brawn power pulling down Nazi barriers!

Always respected that AKD and his men meant something but seem even they are puss wedilla!!!! If they cannot do anything to oust this rule.... seems ppl are still with all this difficulties back the family rule purely coz of the racist views.... No country ever have developed or will develop with racist agenda....period !!!

JJB will inform the date. SJB will fix another date. That is to hold the power to own parties. This way nothing will happen. No one should rally round on these individual date fixings. If all get together and fix the date and venue all will come as this is not a matter for politicians. This is our course.

I think the "ARAGALAYA" would have ousted the President by now, if not for the JVPs visit to Galle Face on 9th May. People got worried, that backfired and the paltry crowd says it all. People lost faith, sadly
