The two main gas importing companies, "LAUGFS" and "LITRO" today said they would not be able to import gas, as the local banks do not permit them to open Letters of Credit (LCs), which could eventually lead to a massive gas scarcity in the country.
They also said due to the current dollar crunch, the banks do not entertain opening LCs.
Meanwhile, LAUGFS Holdings Chairman W.K.H. Wegapitiya said the existing gas will finish mostly by today and it is going to be another huge issue on top of the present fuel shortage in the country, he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

All 225 in parliament are big farters with Weerawansa the best fart out of them. If we can connect hoses to their arseholes, those 69% who voted can get uninterrupted APG to cook and relish their meals flavored by their favorites.

So many political parties in Sri Lanka. However no opposition to chase this inefficient and corrupted regime chased. Time for CHANGE or LEAVE at earliest opportunity.

Another sign that Sri Lanka is on the way to becoming a failed state. Government is unable to provide any essentials good for the people they are supposed to serve. Other countries in South East Asia are not facing similar problems. Covid is not the reason for the governments failure

Politicos must suspend their back up vehicles, save all that fuel, if calculated their consumption it will be hefty volume that can be used for power production even in a small way
