The Public Health Inspectors' Union (PHIU) today urged the authorities to initiate a mechanism at main Hospitals to provide Covid-19 vaccine to people who have allergic reactions.
PHIU Head Upul Rohana said people with serious allergies were referred to the nearest main Hospital to obtain the Covid vaccine and said that these allergy-prone people are finding it difficult as most of the main Hospital do not have a mechanism to do so.
"We do not vaccinate people with serious allergies. They are referred to the nearest main Hospital. But, they complain that there is no mechanism to get the vaccines at most of the Hospitals," he said.
Mr. Rohana pointed out that a mechanism should be introduced immediately at main Hospitals to provide Covid vaccines to people with allergies.(Ajith Siriwardana)

You are preaching to a retarded leadership. Contrary to all known medical and WHoO advice we did not prioritize the over 60s and now have 8000 l plus deaths. Do you expect them to follow scientific methods now?

It is an urgent need and Health authorities must pay immediate attention on this matter as PHIU pointed out.
