The attention of the Health Ministry was drawn to make available self-diagnosis kits for people to test themselves at home and determine whether they are infected with Covid virus, Health Promotion Bureau (HPB) Director Dr. Ranjith Batuwanthudawa said today.
He told a news conference of the Health Promotion Bureau that the matter was discussed at today’s Covid Task Force meeting as well.
He said the Health Minister and Laboratory Services Unit of the Health Ministry had also paid their attention to make available self-diagnosis kits as it would be so beneficial.
Dr. Batuwanthudawa said these self-diagnosis kits are widely being used in foreign countries and expressed hope that the facility could be introduced in Sri Lanka too.
“If it is introduced here, it would be beneficial as people can get themselves tested at home," he said. (Ajith Siriwardana)

Vaccination is much more important. One should increase the vaccination rate. This is the only way to fight the virus. By increasing the pace of vaccination, hospitals are also relieved.

Dont think do it.. put things into action, dont make it another business. Vaccination is not the solution as proven in the world again and again. Self discipline and control are important. If one knows that they are positive atleast they will take some care not to spread it. What happens now is people unknowingly spreading the Virus all over.

It's a good move but see thar is available at a reasonable cost to the people without someone making a fortune out of it.
