The Education Minister also requested teachers and principals not to opt out of online education as the online education is essential for our children as there is an inability to open schools in the country today.
According to the media, Education Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris said 622, 000 students who sat for the GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination are awaiting their results.
Therefore, the Minister urged teachers not to embarrass school children by taking harsh measures over a problem that had been on their minds for 24 years.
Even though all the necessary arrangements have been made for the practical examinations for the aesthetic subjects for the O/L Examination, the minister requested those teachers not to oppress the children. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

You agree that this problem is 23 years old and you want to postpone the solution in the name of Covid? How will anybody trust you? As usual empty talk.

This ancient relic, amongst the vast majority of the current government, should hang up their boots and vanish. Neither do they have the mental capacity to run a country nor do they have the ability to work for the betterment of the people. Most importantly, they don't have the interest or need to do anything but steal, plunder, and make life miserable for everyone.
