We all should unanimously accept that Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe is one of the quality central bank governors Thus he himself relinquished world class posts what he held for the betterment of his motherland. Therefore he should remain as the central bank governor until his contract is terminated.

Lakshman Kiriella did not seem pleased with the governors attitude at the MPs discussion with him.Lakshman stated that in the parliament .Can anyone oust the central bank governor once appointed unless he resigns?Certain decisions taken by Nandalal Weerasinghe and his behavior has been questionable in the past and that is a fact

Sajith is clear it was Gota who asked the current CB Governor to come here to take up the role. The CB Governor is clearly a political appointment then. The Governor joker keeps a peg, so there is much unhappiness and anger about not getting greater rupee for converting dollars, and of course effects on industry like even tourism. Is Sajith happy with the problems we're having with tourists choosing better desitnations which get them more night in 5 night hotels like in South India with their dollars? Is Sajith happy with the disappointment with our middle eastern workers who are infuriated with the peg and limited dollars on conversion. Let Gota's Nandalal go home!

Well to be honest Nandalal is not a practical guy. Need someone who can discuss with credtors and workout a solution. Increasing taxes will further ruin the issue. Should definitely cut down government expenses by reducing staff and privatization

It is this CB Governor who is now big into the inflation driving money printing. While the price goods goes up steeply month by month the dollar exchange rate stagnates. There is definitely the smell of dead rat exchange rate peg. There is effect on millions with not enough dollar coming in while the exchange rate is pegged.

Why is Sajith on about criticism of thoroughly well paid Gota appointee. Why is Sajith feeling sensitive about the matter when there are lot more concerns he should use every minute of talking opportunity to discuss about. Maybe Sajith, Namal, and son of Sirisena should join the past President's son's group and lament how unfairly they are prevented from being provided higher political roles. And appointing their friends to top roles too. Go home Sajith. You show wrong priority so much, you do not deserve ever to lead this country in anyway!

What, now I see Sajith is talking about Conspiracy too. Was it him or Ali Sabri who start this indignant complaining first. Who baited who into joining in. I expect Sajith is going to keep sending the SJB downhill with antics like this. What person in the general public will see the SJB as alternative to the current SLPP with him going on about the ousting CB Governor conspiracy. Better others MPs join with Harin and perhaps Ranjan for a new party than continue being with Sajith, as he's part of MP culture in parliament the public despises.

Here we have a CB Governor who acts professionally, can go in front of the international media and represent the country as a civilized nation. No wonder the riff-raff of SL want to get rid of him. This is the Sri Lankan curse. This is why the problems of SL are not just about corrupt leaders. It is also about the people. You can see that in the comments section here. SL people just cannot deal with real professionals. They yearn for the corrupt, uncivilized politicians. That is why SL deserves all that it gets.

Our country was never run by professionals only by some loud mothed uneducated lot - the few professionals in parliament never had any voice. Where the country is now economically and politically, needs a massive rebuilding effort, especially to gain global acceptance that Sri Lanka is on the mend. So far what we see is political in-fighting and no solution to the suffering masses.

All words spoken by politicians, with the exception of few MPs and former senior MPs who are well qualified or otherwise truely loyal to Mother Lanka, are meaningless. this week we saw Abeywardana and Balasooriya highlighting the incompetence of pohottu MPs trying to become who they are not. while allthis pathetic drama is an eyewash to problems that persist in the country, such as SLS standard setting body who had operatives who should be shamed to the level of terrorists, because they approved the unapprovable. Nushaad Perera should be able to attest along with (so called doctor) Dr. Mrs. Sidhdheeka senaratna about the indiscrepencies. Unless they prefer to go to court which I am prepared for anyway, plenty of proof against them.
