It was reported that Avant-Garde Company Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi and his family members had left the Katunayake Airport for the Maldives this morning.

They had left the airport on a SriLankan Airlines flight UL-102 bound for the Maldives at 08.20 am today.

At that time, the computer system and security camera system at the airport were jammed, and the group had made arrangements to enter the aircraft through the departure terminal at Katunayake Airport.

Security forces at the Katunayake Airport are also investigating the incident. (T.K.G. Kapila)

Sure, this wouldn't have happened without the security knowing. Corrupted Srilanka government doesn't care about people. Why are they even in power? 1958/1977/1983, everything happened because of the corruption of the srilankan government.

    Gseg Tuesday, 05 April 2022 04:43 PM

Absolutely right. Without authorities knowledge nothing can be moved in/out of the airport. People in power still believe that Sinhalese are seeking for milk not truth.

    Rats leaving the sinking ship.

    Mudalali Tuesday, 05 April 2022 04:45 AM

A clear example of a coward. When things change we need to extradite these scumbags and bring them to justice.

Dress rehearsal for the mass Rajapakse exodus. "computer system and security camera system at the airport were jammed" Did this happen when the museum was robbed many years ago and a sword stolen? Are Sri Lankans so dumb to tolerate this?

US Lankan Tuesday, 05 April 2022 05:29 AM

Security forces at the Katunayake Airport are also investigating the incident. Are you joking? Still fooling the public? The same security that closed their eyes when they were leaving are going to investigate? Stop fooling us at least now.

They have many countries to go. But we don't. They can jam the computer system at the airport. but we can't. They can have special arrangements. But we can't. They have support from the top. But we don't

Rats are fleeing the sinking ship. However, those rats who authorised the jamming of Airport equipment and those who carried out the illegal order should be held accountable. It will be a message to rest of the rats who are here.

    maha Tuesday, 05 April 2022 06:44 AM

Now the airport access must be protected

    Hawkeye Tuesday, 05 April 2022 06:46 AM

Thus shall the rats flee the sinking ship. But on a very much more serious note, how did these guys manage to jam the security camera systems at BIA?

    Fisherman. Tuesday, 05 April 2022 06:54 AM

The officials who were responsible in blocking the cameras , computer systems and giving them safe passage should be brought to light and prosecuted for defending such thugs and criminals. But, like every other investigation this too will only be a good piece of news and nothing more.. Shame on our country's law enforcement and its bearers...

Don Luvie TilakSenerath Tuesday, 05 April 2022 07:14 AM

Where is slogan of one country one law? Thieves can switch off CCTV in airport, since Big thief's is protecting them.

Didn't they check their passports on the way through like everyone else? All lies.

    Lankan Tuesday, 05 April 2022 07:49 AM

Sri Lankan people keep your eyes and years open. These rogues are fleeing one by one. Air port officials are obviously helping them by jamming the systems. Just unbelievable but do believe!

He must have taken all or part of the Dollars belongs to Gota. Thats why the computers and security were switched off.
