Last week, the Navy seized 220kg of heroin during a joint operation conducted in Mirissa in Weligama.
Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said 11 suspects arrested in connection with the incident were produced before the Matara Magistrate's Court yesterday (14) and detained for questioning for seven days.
