Chemicals linked to ICE production seized in Middeniya

Colombo, Sept. 5 (Daily Mirror) - A stock of chemical substances believed to be used in the production of crystal methamphetamine (ICE) has been seized in the Middeniya area, allegedly linked to underworld figure Kehelbaddara Padme.

The discovery was made during a raid carried out by the Special Task Force (STF) today, based on information provided by another underworld figure, “Backhoe Saman.”

According to police, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inspected a house in the Thalawa area in Middeniya, following a tip-off that narcotics were being concealed at the location.

The chemicals, suspected to be used in large-scale ICE production, were subsequently recovered.
