In a post on his X account, Trump congratulated the crew and said he was very proud of their achievement.
“The entire trip was spectacular, the landing was perfect and, as President of the United States, I could not be more proud,” he said. He added that he hopes to meet the astronauts at the White House soon.
The Artemis II mission, led by NASA, is the first mission in more than 50 years to send astronauts around the Moon. It is seen as an important step in future space exploration.
Trump also hinted that the next goal could be a mission to Mars, showing plans to continue expanding the U.S. space program.
