NAIROBI, April 23 (Reuters) - Sixteen would-be migrants have died and another 28 are missing after a boat carrying 77 people capsized off the coast of Djibouti, the second such incident in two weeks, the United Nations migration agency said on Tuesday.
The boat's occupants included children, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said in a post on social media platform X.
It said its Djiboutian office was helping with rescue efforts.
Two weeks ago, at least 38 people, including children, died in another shipwreck off the Djibouti coast.

From an Australian news site: Remote northern residents are demanding more be done to protect the coast after Chinese men walked ashore and entered an Australian air base without being intercepted. The men came ashore close to the northern tip of Western Australia in early April, with sources – including one of the Chinese men involved – reporting several of the group entered the unfenced Truscott-Mungalalu Airbase apparently undetected. Even Chinese leaving their countries for whiteman countries. There is a whole network setup in Quinto Ecuador, no visa required for Chinese passports - to facilitate iillegal Chinese entry into the US. Some stats I have seen maybe including Aljazeera 101 east program reported that over 20,000 Chinese have arrived in the US this year as refugees crossing the southern us borders saying that they are Christians suffering persecution in our friend China
