India says it has enough coal stocks to meet power demand

(Reuters) - India ​has adequate coal ‌stocks available at its ​mines and ​power plants, with stocks ⁠sufficient ​to generate power ​for 24 days, a government official ​said ​on Wednesday.

The overall coal ‌stocks ⁠in the South Asian country was ​at ​220 ⁠million tons, the ​official added.
