Two Chinese murder suspects arrested at BIA

Two of the suspects wanted in connection with the killing of one of the Chinese involved in a clash between two groups of Chinese at the Colombo Port City had been arrested by the CID officers in Bandaranaike International Airport when the two men attempted to flee from the country.   

They were preparing to fly to Singapore through India when the police arrested them. The 34 and 38-year-old suspects had been handed over to the Colombo Harbour Police for further action.    Meanwhile, the body of the deceased dumped in a jungle area in Karandana in Eheliyagoda had been recovered by the police, and the motorcar used by three Chinese to transport the body and abandoned in the Karandana area was seized on Thursday night.   

A trishaw driver who transported the three Chinese to Colpetty on their return journey had been arrested by Colpetty Police    Colombo Harbour Police are conducting further investigations.
