Remanded Deshabandu wants food from outside

Suspended IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon now on remand at Dumbara Prisons in Pallekele has sought permission to obtain his meals from an outside source.  

 A senior prison official said a suspect on remand could obtain his meals from a private source but it would need permission from the Department of Prisons. He said the former IGP would be granted permission.   

Tennakoon remanded by Matara magistrate has been detained in a special prison cell in Dumbara prisons under strict security.
