Mother of 4 burnt to death by husband

A woman of Godigamuwa in Bibila had been burnt to death by her husband in the early hours of last morning.The victim Rinosha Umma (40) was a resident of a Muslim Village in Godigamuwa and mother of four children. Investigations revealed that she with her husband had gone to bed after dinner and while her children occupied another room. Last morning when the children noticed a fire and opened the door to find their mother on fire.They doused the flames and rushed her to hospital with the help of neighbours only to be pronounced dead.Her husband suspected of the arson attack on her had fled from the area.Police suspect that an altercation between them had resulted in the killing.  

A police team under OIC Medagama police are conducting further investigations.
