In a mixed day for consumers, Sri Lanka saw fuel prices decrease while gas and tea costs increased overnight. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) reduced petrol prices by Rs.10 per liter (92-octane to Rs. 299, 95-octane to Rs. 361) effective midnight yesterday (31), even as Laugfs Gas hiked LPG cylinder prices (12.5kg to Rs.4,100, up Rs.420; 5kg to Rs.1,645, up Rs.168).
Meanwhile canteens owners raised tea prices by Rs. 10 per cup due to unadjusted milk powder costs, according to AICOA President Harshana Rukshan
