The government has informed the Catholic church in Sri Lanka that probes carried out on Easter Sunday attacks have given rise to fresh suspicions.
Director Mass Communications Catholic Church of Sri Lanka Fr. Jude Krishantha told journalists after a protest in Colombo that that was held to mark four years since the detection of a bomb at All Saints Church Borella that the government has informed the church on fresh suspicions that have arisen on the Easter Sunday attacks.
“We have been assured that the government will inform all details on the findings of the Easter Sunday bombings before long,” Fr. Jude said. However, he stopped short of revealing the details on fresh suspicions.
Also he said the church would help the caretaker of All Saints Church Borella to file a fundamental rights case for false arrest.
Also Fr. Krishantha pointed his finger at former IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon for misdirection of probes on All Saints Church bomb drama.
“Proper probe on the Borella Church drama will lead the way to find out more uncovered facts on Easter Sunday bombings.”
