Accommodation reserved at closed hotel

• Italian tourist was severely inconvenienced
• Police made special arrangements to provide him accommodation at another hotel in the area

An Italian tourist who made an online reservation at a hotel at Sethavadiya in Kalpitiya was severely inconvenienced when he arrived at the hotel to find that it had been closed for more than five years.  

A resident of Rome in Italy Via Jlulio Bizzozero had arrived on Monday evening (13) to the hotel only to find it closed. When the residents of the area explained to him that the hotel had been closed for more than five years, he called over at Kalpitiya police and lodged a complaint.  

He told police that he was highly inconvenienced for want of hotel accommodation.  However, the police paid special attention on the hardship caused to the tourist and made arrangements to provide him accommodation in another hotel in the area.
