Orient Insurance Limited Chief Executive Officer Tanuj Edward was appointed to the company’s board as an Executive Director, recently.
Edward now functions as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Orient Insurance Limited.
He counts over 25 years of professional experience in the insurance industry and held many senior management positions in Sri Lanka and overseas. Edward is a Chartered Insurer and Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of London and a Senior Associate of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Throughout his illustrious career holding key positions in the insurance industry of Sri Lanka and overseas, Edward has been the recipient of multiple accolades and recognition awards for his services. His very latest sprint was bagging the special award of recognition, Al Futtaim Values Award, the most prestigious recognition awarded by the group. His achievement thus went beyond his own halo and garnered recognition to Sri Lanka in a
global forum.
On the occasion of his appointment, Edward commented that the past couple of years has shown that despite the challenges of the global pandemic, the company has stood steadfast and maintained its growth potential. #strongerthancorona was the key element of this growth.
