Amana Bank recently opened its 56th customer location with the commissioning of a self-banking centre in the coastal town of Sainthamaruthu, thereby expanding the bank’s presence in the Eastern province of Sri Lanka.
The centre was declared open under the patronage of Chief Operating Officer Imtiaz Iqbal along with Assistant Vice President Deposits and Digital Innovation Arshad Jamaldeen, Kalmunai Municipal Commissioner A.L.M. Azmi, Kalmunai Branch Manager Mohamed Sameem, local business representatives and residents in attendance.
The self-banking centre, conveniently located at No. 20A, Akkaraipattu Road, Sainthamaruthu, provides 24/7 round-the-clock access for cash withdrawals, cash deposits and cheque deposits. Additionally, the customers can access various services through on-site customer service agents with the assistance of the bank’s Kalmunai branch, who will overlook the day-to-day operations of the centre in partnership with AB Securitas (Pvt.) Ltd.
Commenting on the expansion of its network, Iqbal said, “We are humbled to announce the expansion of our self-banking centres and offer our people-friendly banking model to benefit the people of Sainthamaruthu. Our strategic expansion into various localities promotes financial inclusivity for our valued customers and the broader community, ensuring convenient access to a wide-ranging suite of banking services. Additionally, we have placed dedicated customer service agents at these SBCs, enabling customers to avail of other banking services, thereby enriching their banking experience with us.”
