BMICH staff choir presents corporate anthem at 50th anniversary celebration |
The BMICH, Sri Lanka’s most recognisable and iconic landmark, launched the corporate anthem in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the BMICH, which was celebrated recently.
The anthem was sung by the BMICH staff choir during the celebration, which was witnessed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandaranaike National Memorial Foundation (BNMF) Chairperson and former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and other dignitaries.
“We are honoured to launch the corporate anthem during the 50th anniversary celebrations and it was very special as the anthem was vocalised by our very own staff choir,” said BMICH Chief Executive Sunil Dissanayake.
Set in a sprawling site, with 15 well-laid-out and spacious car parks that can accommodate 3000 vehicles at a given time and well-maintained landscaped gardens, the BMICH is Sri Lanka’s largest and Asia’s very first purpose-built convention centre with ultramodern facilities.
The BMICH is situated in one of the most prestigious locations in Colombo. The BMICH won the South Asian Travel Award (SATA) Gold in 2016, Silver in 2017 and Gold again in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022. In 2016, the BMICH also won the Quality ERA Geneva Gold Award and Platinum Award in Paris in 2017.
