The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) have no right to demand an election, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam said.

"For the first time in history, these two parties acted together to prevent an election in 2017. Therefore they have no right to demand elections. SLPP is the only party which has stood for elections," he said.
