MP Rohini Kumari Wijerathna said that the minorities of the country should have the opportunity to voice their concerns. "My belief is that there should be a conversation on this, if the current 13th Amendment to the Constitution does not give minorities this opportunity," she said.
However, she added there are matters of priority which requires deliberation. "There needs a national plan for the next 25 years at least," she said. Asked about calls for President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa to work together, the MP said "It is a justifiable request. They should work together."
