Police fire shots during arrest operation near Central Mail Exchange in Colombo

Shots were fired during a police operation conducted by the Police Narcotics Bureau near D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha in Colombo to apprehend two individuals.
The police said that PNB officers, travelling on a three-wheeler, arrested two suspects who had arrived in a car to collect a suspicious package.
The operation was carried out to apprehend individuals allegedly involved in drug trafficking.
No injuries were reported as a result of the gunfire
