Comments - People are disappointed with both the government and Opposition

With this kind of clumsy government and this kind of opposition led by a person whose priority is taking revenge on his former leader rather than collaboratively working with every other opposition party it’s no wonder people are frustrated.
Just give up any hope of this country becoming a developed nation! Get out of this horrid place where somehow individually you can achieve your good life somewhere else.

Running away is a cowardly selfish attitude. Regardless of who is running the govt it is private companies and entrepreneurs who can immensely contribute towards the nation's development. it has to be done by investing in industry and business ventures. So rather than cursing the darkness and running away light a candle. Govts will come and go but good entrepreneurs will decades later become good companies. eg both biscuit companies. PVC companies. they started small and grew.

SP, YOU ARE WRONG, PEOPLE ARE SICK AND TIRED OF OTHERS LIKE YOU WHO STOOGE WITH YOUR LEADERS TO MAKE FAKE AND MISLEADING COMMENTS ABOUT THE GOVT. LEADERS OF UNP SLFP AND SLPP HAVE HAD POLITICIANS WHO DID NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE MAJORITY, INSTEAD WERE TOO BUSY INCREASING THEIR WEALTH IN ALL SHAPES AND FORMS THROUGH CORRUPTION/ MAJORITY OF VOTERS TOOK LONG TO FIGURE THIS OUT AND FINALLY DID BY THE GRACE OF THE LORD, SO DO NOT TRY TO HOODWINK THE READERS, CAUSE YOU WILL FAIL.

Respectfully submitting, we form our views based on our own experiences, our own judgment and as we live in a democracy we freely express them. Yours appears to be somewhat different to mine yet I respect that difference. You or I should not become a STOOGE (a painful word) for that. I have lived in this country long enough and have seen both the good and the bad. During that period we have seen progress mostly positive, may be not fast enough yet positive. That’s why I cannot agree with that mythical notion that 76 years of mis-governance of which I have lived through most of my life. We live in a modern society that is totally different to what we were born into. We are far wealthier (even with the recent crisis), far healthier, far more educated, living longer and relatively comfortably. So I am afraid I haven’t seen anything much happening ‘over the moon’ right now to rejoice!
PS: BTW I am not a member of any political party or organisation so I have no ‘leader’!

Actions speak louder than words. Innocent until proven guilty. Therefore the NPP govt who are also slowly getting g corrupted will have to rely on the judiciary to speedup court proceedings and punish those found guilty. As of present only 4% of all bribery and corruption cases have ever been proven.
