Police have found the body of the 32-year-old Danish woman who had reportedly gone missing while hiking on the Alagalla mountain in Kadugannawa.
The Police and the STF launched a search operation yesterday after the woman had gone missing while hiking since last Monday (July 10).
Police suspect that the Danish woman may have fallen while hiking the mountain.
The woman who had arrived in the country on 26 June was touring alone. She had reportedly checked into the Kandy Backpackers Hostel on July 10.
She had reportedly indicated to the management of the hostel that she was going on a hike and when she had not returned to the hostel at night last Tuesday (11) the management had informed about her disappearance to the Kandy Police.
The body had been refered to the post-moterm and the foreign ministry had also been informed about the incident
