The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) said it had revised the fees of Sri Lankan migrant workers as well as the fees for extending worker licenses, from tomorrow (July 1).
Deputy General Manager of the Training and Recruitment Division of the Foreign Service Bureau, Gamini Senarath Yapa, said the charges for new registrations at the Bureau would be increased to Rs. 21,469.
Earlier, the registration amount was Rs. 17,928, which included the Government Tax. He said the fee for new registrations would be increased by 20 percent, according to a circular issued by the Treasury.
“Rs 4,483 will be charged for an update of a registration that was at Rs. 3,000,” he said.
