Dilantha to collect Rs.70 mn for 2023 European Championship Lamborghini Tournament
Popular Sri Lankan racing driver Dilantha Malagamuwa yesterday said that he expected to collect some Rs.70 million from Sri Lankan donors to participate in the 2023 European Championship Super Lamborghini tournament, which will be held in twelve European countries from May to November this year.
He said that a musical concert will be organized to collect the necessary funds from "humble Sri Lankans".
Addressing the media he said the 2023 European Super Lamborghini Championship will be held from May to November in 12 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and Spain.
The winners of that tournament and the winners of the super Lamborghini car championships in Europe, Asia and America will participate in the final tournament, which will be held in Italy, and based on the number of points they get, the final world champion winners will be selected.
He said that it will cost him between Rs.200 and Rs. 250 million to participate in this tournament and other annual tournaments, out of which he has to find an amount of Rs.70 million, and the remaining amount will be given to him by the Lamborghini Motor Company.
In order to determine the amount to be collected, arrangements have been made to hold a vehicle show at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theater on April 23 and a musical concert, he said.
