Sri Lanka cricketers commenced training for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak forced national wide locked down in March. Accordingly a 13-man squad of players began outdoor training on Tuesday at the CCC grounds.

The squad, which largely comprises of bowlers, will stay at a nearby hotel, and "will not be allowed to leave the hotel premises or the practice venue to attend personal matters".
