A group of employees of the State Engineering Corporation held a Sathyagraha today against number of decisions taken by the authorities which include retiring employees when they reach 55 years and without extending it up to 60 years. The protesters then held a peace march towards the Presidential Secretariat to hand over a petition. Pix By Pradeep Pathirana

Old people need to understand that only if they make way for the younger generation to get work their sons and daughters will get work and hence be able to look after the parents to an extent. If old people do not retire the young people don't have jobs and then they will go on the road and wast time by holding protest rally and in process might even die by a good beating from the police. So my point being work well for the about 35 years of your life not forgetting old age hence have some savings for a rainy day. Do not sit around and wast time.
