Vegetables on the road

We first got to get those diesel running Tata and Leyland buses out of the roads to make the city more environmental friendly. More than 50% of the CO2 pollution resulting from these age old diesel buses. We should encourage and enforce hybrid buses for more environmental friendly city.

Good, good. But with the pollution how can one eat these vegetables grown in the city ? I too have a big karapincha plant in my balcony, but never used for cooking due to pollution !

Very good - now every where vegetable I see in my town all vegetable price not more than 35rupees per kg, well done.

Idea is good , but not to eat only to beautify the place , why not think of planting some palm trees, margoasa etc. We can see some of the roudabouts are with full of shrubs and weeds , which can be beutified with some palm trees. you take galle road from wella watte to bambalpitiya , those cement boxes kept by late President premadasa is dying with out any plants , the little remaining is with out water even , fully dried.
