Good performance by the Lion tonight, they really showed the Sri Lankan spirit and great effort to get us across the line by Malinga and Matthews, but what really made it one of the greatest wins that i have seen is the fact that Murali played a true batsmen's shot in what could be his last bat in Australia to win the match.

It was one of a greatest match I have ever seen may be in the life time. Congratulations to Mathews, Malinga and Muttiah who played a critical roll in the match as a team to take SL for its winning position and gave a lesson to Aussies in their country itself that we have a courage to win even if the 8th wicket downed on our side. This could have been fixed. Very suspicious the results were. When Pakistan loses a game everybody says the game was fixed but when sri lanka win a game nobody says it was fixed. This is double standards.

Is not the right time to award a bit of respect to sri lanka. We dont get given to chance to play more than two test in Australia and England. ICC has to bring up some changes regarding awarding test matches to the countries.

It was one of the most memorable game I have ever witnessed at MCG. It was incredible to see Sri Lankan supporters enjoying themselves with a handful of Australian supporters. As a parent I was proud to see younger generation support the team without an incident unlike other Australian games people throw rubbish into the ground and get evicted due to drunkenness and other disorderly behaviour. Congratulations to the Sri Lankan team especially to Malinga and Angelo for this remarkable win.

Good to see our cricketers have gained mental toughness to withstand any hostile situation in the field. However unable to understand why Sanga and Chamara threw their wickets when there were enough overs to bat.
Now Sanga and rely on tail-enders as as well.
Mahela should open the batting with Dilshan and drop Tharanga

I happenned to be there in MCG to watch our gys live in action against mighty(once) Aussies.Whole cricket ground was full of LION flags with all Sri-Lankan .Hardly anu aussie Flags were there.With that much of ground support mighty Lions like Malinga and Mathews paved the way to win by giving real cricket oxsygion to a dying corspe!Well done! Cricket will always be a game of ups and downs, and we will still see more wins and losses. Apart from what the commentators had hitherto dismissed as possible only in a "miracle", our heroes made us proud to be Sri Lankan (once again!). What was interesting to observe was the body-language of the Australian players, in their typical arrogance when playing against a "third world" nation, which has never so far failed to stir the wrath of expatriates living here. I would suggest that they learn to be more humble and see themselves as equals of the sub-continental teams'
