World Habitat Day at Public Library

The annual painting exhibition organized by the National Housing Development Authority to mark World Habitat Day 2025 is being held today (08) at the Colombo Public Library Auditorium.

Over 4,500 school students from across the island submitted their works for the competition, which was held under the theme "My Beautiful Little Home." The winners received certificates, trophies, and cash prizes at the 39th World Habitat Day National Celebration, held under the patronage of His Excellency President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on October 5.

The inauguration of the painting exhibition was attended by Deputy Minister of Housing T.B. Sarath, Founder of the Sanasa Movement P.A. Kiriwandeniya, Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority Aravinda Sirinatha, General Manager Eng. K.A. Janaka, and other officials. Many of the winning students and staff officers of the National Housing Development Authority also participated.
