Viet Nam–Sri Lanka mark 55 years with film festival

To celebrate 55 years of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka, the Viet Nam Embassy in Colombo launched the “Viet Nam Film Show 2025”, a three-day cultural event from July 22–24 at the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute’s Lighthouse Auditorium.

The inauguration ceremony was held on July 22, with Speaker Jagath Wickramaratne attending as Chief Guest. The event featured speeches by Ambassador Trinh Thi Tam and the Speaker, highlighting the significance of bilateral ties.

The program also included awards for winners of online quiz and logo design competitions focused on Viet Nam–Sri Lanka relations.

The Embassy invites Sri Lankans and international residents to attend and enjoy this celebration of friendship and cultural exchange.
