Thaiyiddy residents protest illegal land acquisition

The residents of Thaiyiddy, Jaffna, continue to voice their objections in an ongoing struggle against the illegal acquisition of their ancestral lands, which are being used for the construction of a Buddhist temple. Details of this community’s struggle were revealed to the media at a press conference jointly organized by the People's Alliance for the Right to Land (PARL) and the residents of Thaiyiddy.
