The Sri Lanka Air Force is preparing for the Colombo Air Show and Defence Exhibition (CADE 2024) to demonstrate air power and stimulate tourism and investment. Air Force Commander Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa announced that the five-day event will take place from May 29 to June 2 at the Galle Face and Colombo Port City. The CADE 2024 was officially announced today during a media briefing at the Air Force Headquarters attended by SLAF Chief of Staff Air Vice Marshal Sampath Wickremeratne and Director of Media Group Captain Dushan Wijesinghe. Wasting time and resources using old and obsolete equipment and technology. Better they assist the needy and improve the medical facilities using the money to set this so called Defence Exhibition. Too many unproductive senior officers with nothing must to do and coming up such a useless low tech exhibition.
