‘Samudravijaya’ joins Navy

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake attends the commissioning ceremony of the deep-sea patrol vessel Samudravijaya at the Port of Colombo’s Eastern Terminal. The vessel, gifted by the United States Coast Guard to enhance Sri Lanka Navy operational capabilities, was officially handed over on 2 December 2025 and arrived in Colombo after setting sail from Baltimore, Maryland on 20 February 2026 following modifications for naval operations.
