He is an Anglo Indian ( Indian European mixed ), and while in India all Anglo Indians consider themselves as Europeans and have very pro European attitude. But when they move to Western countries their partial dark skin is sized upon by the White Pupils and they are bullied as '' blacks " , " Parkis " , and " Sand Niggers". This guy suffered so much racism in the West. It is funny that in Sri Lanka our naive people are treating him as a White bloke.

When a country don't have a industrial base and the focus since independence 80 years ago was the white tourists then what you expect from such a country, visiting standup comedians become VIP to the people of the country.

Actually, his jokes are hilarious and relatable although embarrassing and filthy. For some people who enjoy such entertainment they will probably say it was worth every penny but for the majority in Sri Lanka, its probably not well received.

This guy is a world famous comedian. There is nothing wrong in treating him well. Don't forget, this welcome is not done by everyday folk. This is a corporate event and this is done for publicity. Our people are so against anything that happens in this country, that at a drop of a hat, the vitriol comes out to show the real black skin of all our people. The ones who are referring to him being called derogatory names for being brown and such are the ones who become so proud of their "lighter" black skin and walk around like the Europeans they are so quick to despise.
