Relics enshrined in 60-foot Buddha statue in Ragama



The enshrinement of sacred treasures in the walking Buddha statue at Batuwatta Ratnasri Sangharama Pothgul Vihara in Narampauwa, Ragama—destined to be venerated by Buddhists worldwide—took place yesterday (23) at 9.00 a.m.

The 60-foot-tall statue was erected under the guidance of the Secondary Adhikarana Sanghanayake of the Sinadhi Four Korales and Chief Incumbent of Naranpaluwa Ratna Sri Sangharama Pothgul Vihara, as well as Galahiiyawa Sri Sugatha Subadraramaya, Saddharma Kirthi Sri Premarathanabhidana Ven.
