Again a massive shortage of rice has started. Most of the shops do not have red rice. Even Keeri and Nadu hard to find in many shops. Worst government ever. It is better to resign and go home giving the government to someone cable of providing daily essentials.

This reminds me of Bread queues at the Golden Era of the Great Socialist Finance Minister/Dr./Mr. N.M. Perera. of 1972. But there were differences. Lines were formed in front of Bakeries and Houses of Powerful Janata Committee members, Co-ops were with empty shelves. And the times were different. Queues formed at dawn - So that children can eat breakfast and go to school, and in the evenings to buy bread for dinner. Nobody remembered RICE! Oh! WHAT A WONDERFUL ERA! Bread @ Rs.1/-

Then people should just eat white rice, ritties or bread. Red rice tastes horrible anyway. Even in Western countries, not everything is always available.

Why don't they buy a car instead ? For the last two days we have not been able to get a Laughs' gas cylinder in Kandy. AKD must quickly discern which of his ministers are not performing and get rid of them. He has surrounded himself with incompetents.
