Why is the President not wearing a safety west on the boat. Please set an example to others.

I hope this is the first ever visit of President of Sri Lanka. Katchatheevu if fully owned and fully under sovereignty territory of Our Country. when this treaty was signed with India, India had taken Exclusive Economic Zone where plenty of fish are being catching. ..." “Fishing vessels and fishermen of India shall not engage in fishing in the historic waters, the territorial sea and the EEZ of Sri Lanka nor shall the fishing vessels and fishermen of Sri Lanka engage in fishing in the historic waters, the territorial sea and the EEZ of India, without the express permission of Sri Lanka or India, as the case may be.”.....

Even if any past President remotely thought of visiting this part of Sri Lanka it would have been a few Helicopters at state cost that would have taken their entorage! Even that would have not happened under the immediate past President who considered Thoppigalla forest not worth fighting for during the war.

Hats off for Mr. President for visiting Katchatheevu. It sends a symbolic signal about Sri Lanka's ownership of the island.
