No government or the owners of these plantations has done any justice to these workers, who once contributed and still do to strengthen the economy of our nation, for more than two centuries. A few months ago they were clamoring for a daily wage of Rs 1,000/= which has now become Rs 1,700/=. Quite reasonable.

Poor plantation workers are the economy back bone of Sri Lanka. However the ruling morons and catchers of government won’t pay attention to the poor plight of these workers. They should receive Rs. 2000.00 per day.
