Poetry collection launched in Melbourne



The poetry collection “Nobidena Histhena” authored by Mrs. Rajika Agampodi was recently launched in Melbourne, Australia.

The book is based on a study of ancient poetic traditions and draws inspiration from classical forms, while focusing on themes related to practical realities in contemporary society.

The first copy of the book was presented to the Chief Kammatthanacharya of the Aranya Senasana, Meethirigala Nisarana, Most Venerable Udaeeriyagama Dhammajeewa Nayaka Thero, who is also the founder of the Sati School and the Vishwa Sati Village.

The launch ceremony was held with the participation of veteran stage personality Jayasree Chandrajith as the chief guest, and was attended by a large gathering, including participants from Sri Lanka.

“Nobidena Histhena,” which was shortlisted for the final round of the 2025 Godage Poetry Manuscript Competition, is now available to Sri Lankan readers as a publication of Godage.
