National Thai Pongal festival celebrated...
The national celebration of Thai Pongal, a revered cultural tradition observed by Hindus worldwide that honors the value of labor and expresses gratitude for the blessings of nature, was held at Temple Trees today (15) with the participation of Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
The event was jointly organized by the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, and the Department of Hindu Religious and Cultural Affairs. (Prime Minister Media)
