NVA Sri Lanka celebrates 20 years

Members of the Nature Volunteer Association Sri Lanka (NVA Sri Lanka) distribute musical instruments to Pre-Childhood Development Centres during a ceremony held at the Kalutara District Secretariat to mark the organisation’s 20th anniversary. The event was attended by Kalutara District Secretary Sunanda Herath. Based in Kaluwamodara, Aluthgama, the organisation has carried out programmes supporting children from low-income families affected by the 2004 tsunami, while also expanding initiatives on women’s empowerment, vocational training, environmental promotion and preschool teacher development in the Kalutara District.
