The electronic and print media in Sri Lanka were felicitated for their efforts in conserving the Jathika Namal Uyana at an event hosted by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardane at Temple Trees.
The event coincided with the 33rd anniversary celebration of the conservation and preservation of the Jathika Namal Uyana. Former Editor-in-Chief of the Lankadeepa Siri Ranasinghe, Divaina newspaper’s founding Editor Edmond Ranasinghe and several others were specially recognized. Publications of the Wijeya Newspapers, Lake House, Upali Newspapers, Liberty Publishers and Ceylon Newspapers were also felicitated. Ven.
