Maryland Vesak celebrations

Devotees participate in Amisa and Prathithi Poojas during the Vesak festival held at the Maryland International Buddhist Temple in North America on May 23 under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent and Chief Judicial Sanghanayake of the United States, Most Venerable Katugasthota Uparathana Nayaka Thera. Buddhist monks from across the United States and a large gathering of Sri Lankan Buddhists, including Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States Mahinda Samarasinghe, attended the religious celebrations.
