Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Minister Sunil Handunnetti, visited the Kotikambokka Vein Quartz deposit in Monaragala District yesterday (1), where mining activities are currently on hold. Preliminary scientific explorations have identified the 700-meter deposit as containing an estimated 3.1 billion metric tons of quartz, highlighting its potential as a significant contributor to the national economy
