Independence Day marked in Brasilia

Sri Lanka’s 78th Independence Day was commemorated at a ceremony held at Hotel Villa Rizza in Brasilia on February 6, with Secretary for Asia and the Pacific of Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Susan Kleebank attending as the Chief Guest. The event, organised by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Brazil, was attended by ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, senators, representatives of international organisations, senior government officials, business leaders, and journalists at the invitation of Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Brazil, C.A. Chaminda I. Colonne.
